The end we seek is a society at peace with itself, a society that can live with its conscience. That will be a day not of the white man, not of the black man. That will be the day of man as man.

We're pretty excited about Liberty Fest, too. Looking forward to seeing you there.
I'll shoot you an e-mail later with details to find us. Have a nice night.

I didn't realize how geographically close we are. Sure, I would like very much to brainstorm about getting the message out. My wife Angela (she's on your friends list) and I were just talking about the need to inspire action.

She has a Masters Degree in Communication and I manage Marketing and Leadership Development for Matty Moroun's companies (the guy that owns the Ambassador Bridge), so you happened across two well-suited people to pick up the torch with you... What a coincidence that we are so close.

Anj and I will be attending the LibertyFest banquet at Dimitri's in Dearborn on the 24th (from the Scotty Boman Meetup group). We keep pretty busy schedules, but Saturdays are usually good days to catch us (for physical meetings). Catch me by e-mail and let me know what you have in mind, or throw out a date/time to meet (on-line or off) and we'll get the ball rolling.

My husband and I are very interested in working with a group (or starting one) of like-minded Libertarians in southeastern Michigan. Are you the lone-MI patriot, or do you work with an established group?

nice work out there michael. you guys had a good showing. what was your estimated turn out? we had maybe in the lower forties. it was more than most of us expected, we hung in there for about four hours. we had a guy in from the rochester area on a megaphone that was great. he didn't shut up the entire time. we were exposed to a good amount of traffic and got some literature out. i had a great time. later

When a tax cut isn't a tax cut

BY: Russell Roberts of Cafe Hayek

If the government cuts rates or just gives rebates but at the same time increases the size of government, taxes are not lower. They're larger. Government is taking a bigger share of the economic pie leaving less for the private sector to spend. The future burden of taxes is higher. As Milton Friedman used to argue, don't focus on how government is financed, whether it's out of current taxes or future taxes. Focus on the spending. If government grows as a percen… Continue

Let all get together and meet on the site...

Myself and Rothbard agree, this site has been slow lately. There has been limited activity in the chat rooms and it feels like people are getting disinterested. I know for some (or most) the after effects of the elections are starting to ware off and People are slowly moving back into their normal routines of just living life until the next go around. I say that doesnt get anything accomplished now and right now is the most important time.

Let it be known that everyone is invited to participate… Continue
