November 3 election results for Libertarian candidates

These are partial results for Libertarians who were candidates in the November 3, 2009 elections. We will post more results as we learn them.

In Georgia:

Karen Richardson was re-elected to the John's Creek City Council.

Chris Neill, running for Mayor of Marietta, got 14%.

Richard Segal, running for City Council in Douglasville, got 41%.

Jeffrey Sexton, running for City Council in Leesburg, got 22%.

Kellie Weeks, running for School Board in Gainesville, got 32%.

The Republicans had control of the federal government for years, and they used their power to greatly increase the size, scope, and burden of government.

Now the Democrats are in charge and they're doing it too. Their health care plan currently in the works is a serious threat to liberty.

More Bailout MADNESS!! Are you fed up enough to run for Congress?

I can't believe Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner wants to hand out billions more bailout money to GMAC!

And who knows if we'll be able to stop the Obama government health care takeover? We couldn't stop Bush and the Republican Congress from passing the $400 billion (later $1.2 trillion!) Medicare drug plan.

Are you mad enough to run for Congress as a Libertarian yourself? I hope so!

2008 Libertarian vice-presidential nominee Wayne Allyn Root is appearing on two radio programs this week.

Today, at 11:35 AM Pacific Time (2:35 PM Eastern Time), Root will appear on Lou Dobbs's nationally syndicated radio show.

Friday, October 30, at 11:30 Pacific Time (2:30 PM Eastern Time), Root will appear on the Bill Cunningham Show in Cincinnati.

This coming November 3 is Election Day in many places throughout the U.S. Since it's an odd-numbered year, there are relatively few races. Nevertheless, dozens of Libertarians are on the ballot for various positions.

The Libertarian Party has a new addition to our social networking sphere.  In order to allow members to submit their own photos of LP meetups, meetings, and other events, we decided to use the popular photo sharing site Flickr.  Please feel free to view our Flickr page ( http://www.flickr.com/photos/lpnational ), and submit photos to lpnflickr@yahoo.com (only submit photos that you own).  Be sure to mention where the picture was taken, names of people in the photo, and any other pertinent information.  We are looking forward to seeing your photos!

LP Monday Message: Separation of Church and Signs

First, I wanted to send a big thank you to the new Monthly Pledgers who signed up for recurring monthly donations online. We added this very convenient feature about a week ago and sent an announcement last Friday. So far, over 20 people have signed up for recurring monthly contributions on our membership and contribution forms.

Hey Patrick, how was the meeting at LC?? Wish I could have been there. I already sent in my absentee ballot. Been telling everyone who doesnt want to come back here to vote for the LP. Hope it works.
