Change starts at home, we have only a few months left until people all over the state will be out and about in the spring weather, soon after we have county fairs and other events. It might seem a little crazy to be thinking about this before Christmas but spring is only 3 months away. These are great opportunities for us to be there talking to people, smiling and answering questions. If every libertarian group in the state did just one event this spring/summer, imagine what that could do for our LPO.
It is easy to sit back and think "yeah, I should set up a booth at the fair/library/store/whatever", but it's even easier not to follow through. Let's not fall into that. So far, I'm the lone Libertarian way out here on the edge of the state but so what, if I can't find any help maybe I'll find some help while I'm standing out there talking to people.
Something else, I think as we branch out across our state we need to push organization and stress our common goal, LIBERTY. Every day I spend talking to Libertarians I see more and more of a disorganized mess. I'm sure we have some nicely organized affiliates out there (we do.. right???), but so far I haven't seen one. At least not here. What will we do to change this? I know there aren't many of us here but I don't see why that matters, each of us have equal access to our state party and each of us is capable of influence.
